Behind the Velvet Rope

Welcome to my guest blogger, Kimmy Scotti, the Director of Sales and Marketing for WORKS!  Here’s what she had to say about her wonderful experience at a JCPenny event last week:

If you told me 5 years ago that I would have wanted to be behind the velvet rope at a JCPenney event in midtown Manhattan, I’d have bet you my Barneys card you couldn’t hold your breath until I arrived.

However, I found myself ecstatic to be escorted to the front of JCPenney’s grand opening festivities–style and quality at a ridiculously affordable price had this recessionista wide -eyed and frantically adding up each item as it came down the runway. (You can get a whole new suit for $65!)

Mayor Bloomberg introduced the opening and Kimora Lee Simmons was in attendance along with a stable of designers (Charlotte Ronson included).

Head down to 33rd and 6th to check out the new store, which includes a fabulous Sephora as its cosmetic department!
