My new favorite food blog
I have a problem….
There’s a lot to be thankful for this year and on the top of my list is the hope that NYC’s Thanksgiving pumpkin pie supply is finally diminished (I may, quite possibly, be single-handedly responsible for this). I have literally been eating pumpkin pie EVERY day since my good friend and Content Manager Michelle Hainer brought over a homemade rendition early in the season. I rationalize that pumpkin is good for the baby and now that I’ve gotten to the “half a pie-to-myself” stage of craving, to my credit, I no longer eat the crust for the sake of my ass.
I hit my low (or high, depending upon how you look at it) on Thanksgiving Day. I bought three pies expecting to give two to our dinner hosts (more honestly, had been debating between two and one and was looking more like one than two) when on the way home, perhaps distracted by my internal debate, the pies FELL in a way that resulted in a mess that simply wasn’t acceptable for presentation. Guess I’d have to keep them for myself…
Last night I officially ate the last bite of the third pie and I’m in a little bit of mourning over the fact that my supply is gone…that was until Michelle let me know that she’s launched her new and improved food blog! She’s an amazing cook and writer and her blog is not only entertaining but informative. My first search was of course for the pumpkin pie she brought to my house, and here it is in the event anyone feels sorry for me and wants to bake Meep and I something special for the holiday!

The mangled pumpkin pie. OK, maybe I threw it to the ground.
