WTF?
Walking down the street at the Wharf in San Francisco and this dude, dressed like a tree, jumped and scared the pants off me! Later learned he’s a local institution. After I recovered from cardiac arrest and registered his squeal of delight, I decided we should all have such an exciting job!

Yes that's a big bag of salt water taffy...it's already gone.

Tree man back in disguise and Kimmy still sporting a look of horror.

I am leaving for SF next Wednesday and wondered when you were there and what the weather was like. I will be staying in the Warf area near Pier 39. Anything you might recommend I see and do…..thanks!

That is too funny. That guy has been there for ages. The first time I saw him was while visiting SF 9 years ago. Then I lived in SF for two years, and he could generally be found down there. It’s fun to sit back and watch him jump out and scare the living daylights out of unsuspecting tourists … uh … like yourself.

Pam – was raining cats and dogs! SF is a beautiful city but I swear every time I’m there (even in June) it’s so much colder than I expect…and frankly, colder than it should feel at 70 degrees and sunny. Bring a sweater. In terms of where to go, sadly I’m usually there for work and other than the sea lions and Boudin Bakery, at a loss. Anyone else have some ideas for Pam?

Michelle – couldn’t help ourselves from sitting back and watching too! He really gets a kick out of his job…
